Abstract:
This secondary battery is provided with a battery element, an outer package member and an external terminal. The battery element comprises a first electrode and a second electrode. The outer package member, which has electrical conductivity, comprises: a recessed part that contains the battery element inside, while being recessed toward the battery element in a first direction; and a protruded part that surrounds the periphery of the recessed part and protrudes so as to get away from the battery element in the first direction. The external terminal is fitted to the recessed part of the outer package member, while being electrically insulated from the outer package member. The first electrode is electrically connected to the external terminal; and the second electrode is electrically connected to the outer package member. In the first direction, the height of the surface of the external terminal is lower than the height of the surface of the peripheral part of the outer package member toward the battery element.
