Title:
SECONDARY CELL
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/080300
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
[Problem] To prevent a reduction in cell capacity due to the charge-discharge cycle in a secondary cell that uses lithium as a negative electrode active substance and bromine as a positive electrode active substance. [Solution] A secondary cell 10 includes a solid electrolyte 40, a positive electrode 20, a negative electrode 30, a liquid active substance 50, and a complexing agent. The solid electrolyte 40 is a lithium ion conductive film. The positive electrode 20 is formed from porous carbon and is disposed facing one surface of the solid electrolyte 40. The negative electrode 30 is formed from metal lithium and is disposed facing the surface of the solid electrolyte on the side opposite to the positive electrode 20. The liquid active substance 50 comprises lithium ions and bromide ions, and is sealed between the solid electrolyte 40 and the positive electrode 20. Together with the bromine in the liquid active substance 50, the complexing agent forms a bromine complex compound that is fixed to the positive electrode 20. The complexing agent is a quaternary ammonium salt which is added to the liquid active substance 50.
