Abstract:
The invention relates to a sectional tailgate (28) for a vehicle, comprising a top part (3) that is pivotally arranged on the vehicle body (6, 106, 206, 306), a bottom part (4) which is pivotally arranged on the top part (3), a first locking mechanism (1, 101, 201, 301) for coupling the top part (3) of the tailgate to the vehicle body (6, 106, 206, 306) for a first open position of the tailgate, a second locking mechanism (2, 102, 202, 302) for coupling the top part (3) and the bottom part (4) of the tailgate (28) to each other to form a unit for a second open position of the tailgate, and at least one actuator (10, 110, 17, 117, 221, 321) that acts on the locking mechanisms (1, 101, 201, 301; 2, 201, 202, 302). In order for such a tailgate or the locking mechanisms thereof to operate effectively, two longitudinally extending locking elements (8, 108, 208, 308; 15, 115, 215, 315) which can be moved into the locked positions by means of the actuator (10, 110, 17, 117, 221, 321 ) are associated with the locking mechanisms (1, 101, 201, 301; 2, 201, 202, 302).
