Abstract:
The present invention relates to the security system used in airports for delivering the baggage to the passenger owning it and to the operation method. The present invention particularly relates to the readable component of passenger (10) given to the passenger, including the passenger-specific information of the passenger; the readable component of baggage (20), placed on the baggage of the passenger; the component reader (30) reading and receiving the information that the baggage is approaching the conveyor for being delivered by reading the readable component of baggage (20) on the baggage of passenger, and this way sending this information for informing the passenger; the security system and application method including the match control and warning system (40) reading and matching the readable component of passenger (10) and a readable component of baggage (20), ensuring that the passenger receives the correct baggage safely, and performing a real- time control; and also sterilizing baggage with UV lamps (43).

Claims:
CLAIMS The present invention is a security system used for delivering the baggage to the owning passengers in airports, characterized in that;

• the readable component of passenger (10) given to the passenger and including the passenger-specific information,

• the readable component of baggage (20) placed on the baggage of passenger,

• match control and warning system (40) reading and matching readable component of passenger (10) and a readable component of baggage (20), ensuring that the passengers take the right baggage safely, performing real-time control. A match control and warning system (40) according to Claim-1, characterized in that; a component reader (30) gets the information that the baggage is approaching the conveyor for being delivered by reading the readable component of baggage (20) on the baggage of passenger, and this way sends this information for informing the passenger. A match control and warning system (40) according to Claim-1, characterized in that; a reader and matching system (41) reads and matches the readable component of passengers (10) and a readable component of baggage (20), and thus ensures that the passengers take the right baggage safely. A match control and warning system (40) according to Claim-1, characterized in that; a warning system gives audible and visual warnings in case of failure of matching and in case there is no readable component of baggage (20) on baggage. A match control and warning system (40) according to Claim-1, characterized in that; a readable component of baggage detector (42) detects whether there is a readable component of baggage (20) on baggage and in case there is no readable component of baggage (20), sends this information to match the control and warning system (40).

6. A match control and warning system (40) according to Claim-1, characterized in that; UV lamps (43) used for sterilization of baggage passed through match control and warning system (40).

7. The present invention is the method applied in the security system used for delivering the baggage to the owning passengers in airports, characterized in that;

• the passenger comes to the baggage reclaim point with her/his baggage,

• the readable component of passenger (10) is given to the passenger,

• the readable component of baggage (20) is associated with baggage,

• the flight takes place,

• the passenger arrives at the baggage reclaim point after the flight for taking her/his baggage,

• the passenger arrives at the match control and warning system (40) together with her/his baggage,

• the passenger passes her/his baggage through match control and warning system (40),

• while the baggage passes through match control and warning system (40), the readable component of baggage (20) is read,

• this information is matched with the readable component of the passenger (10),

• it is confirmed that the baggage belongs to the passenger and passing is allowed, process steps.

8. A method according to Claim-7, characterized in that; the process step of detection whether there is a readable component of baggage (20) while the passenger passes her/his baggage through match control and warning system (40) with a readable component of baggage detector (42).

A method according to Claim-7, characterized in that; the match control and warning system (40) gives a warning in case the readable component of baggage (20) does not match with a readable component of the passenger (10) while the passenger is passing her/his baggage through the match control and warning system (40).

A method according to Claim-7, characterized in that; the baggage is sterilized with a UV lamp (43) while the passenger is passing her/his baggage through the match control and warning system (40). 11. A method according to Claim-7, characterized in that; the passenger arrives at the baggage reclaim point for taking her/his baggage after the flight, is informed by means of the component reader (30) reading the readable component of baggage (20) on the baggage of passenger, and by monitoring this baggage information on the screen (50).

TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to the security system used in airports for delivering the baggage to the passenger owning it and to the application method.

The present invention particularly relates to the readable component, given to the passenger, including the passenger-specific information of passenger; the readable component of baggage, placed on the baggage of passenger; the component reader reading and receiving the information that the baggage is approaching the conveyor for being delivered by reading the readable component on the baggage of passenger, and this way sending this information for informing the passenger; the security system and application method including the match control and warning system reading and matching the readable component of passenger and a readable component of baggage, ensuring that the passenger receives the correct baggage safely, and performing a real-time control; and also providing disinfection of pieces of baggage passing through the conveyor with UV technology.

PRIOR ART

One of the security vulnerabilities in airports is the baggage reclaim stage. The fact that no control is performed in the baggage reclaims stage can result in malevolent persons taking the baggage of others. In addition, sometimes some people can accidentally take the baggage of other people due to physical similarity. In such abusable cases, it is not possible to consult to legal actions in case the malevolent persons declare that they took the baggage accidentally.

In present applications in airports, there is no security measure except for visual control of baggage by passengers. This causes confusion during baggage reclaim and is open to misconduct. In the present technique, passengers deliver their pieces of baggage to airport officials and receive their pieces of baggage back at the end of their flights. Imposing no rules during baggage reclaim causes serious security vulnerabilities and causes airlines to become targets.

In the systems used in the present technique, there is no warning or monitoring system showing the location of baggage and whether it entered the conveyor. This causes unnecessary confusion and traffic in the reclaim area.

In the systems used in the present technique, there is no application for sterilizing the pieces of baggage. This causes harmful bacteria and microbes on the baggage in areas such as airports, where infection risk is high, to threaten the health of passengers.

Many R&D activities are carried out for simplifying the security systems and making them more secure. In the present systems developed, the aim is to match the baggage and passengers, but in case an RFID, etc. label on baggage is removed or torn, it is not possible to detect such condition, and that causes another serious security vulnerability.

In conclusion, in the present application, there are many security vulnerabilities and problems. The present technique fails to resolve the present technical problems. In order to solve the present problems in the current technique, the need for a control system with increased security, that does not cause delays to passengers, and the insufficiency of existing solutions made it necessary to make improvements in the relevant technical field.

PURPOSE OF THE INVENTION

The purpose of the present invention is a security system matching the RFID, the barcode, etc. component information received from passengers with the information received from baggage and ensuring safety by giving a warning in case the matching does not take place, by means of placing an RFID, the barcode, etc. component reader only in baggage reclaim area. Another purpose of the present invention is to ensure that the right baggage is delivered to the right passenger in airports, and this way eventually prevents potential confusion and disputes.

Another purpose of the present invention is to prevent the problems such as lawsuits against airlines etc. by delivering the right baggage to the right passenger.

Another purpose of the present invention is to detect the location of baggage and that it enters the conveyor, and provide this information to the passenger visually. This way, the passenger can see from the screen that her/his baggage is on the way and approach the reclaim area.

Another purpose of the present invention is passing the baggage through UV (ultraviolet) light for sterilization in the system used. This way the infection risk is eliminated.

Another purpose of the present invention is to ensure that pieces of baggage without labels are detected.

The said invention will become a preferred product in the industry due to its current and plain structure. This will ensure commercial success.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The present invention is the security system used in airports for delivering the baggage to the passenger owning it and to the application method. In this system; there are readable components of passenger (10), readable components of baggage (20), component reader (30), match control, and a warning system (40).

The readable component of the passenger (10) is the component given to the passenger, including the passenger-specific information. It can be placed on documents such as tickets etc. The readable component of baggage (20) is the component placed on the baggage of a passenger. It is used for proving that the wrong baggage was taken in case it does not match with a readable component of passenger (10) given to the passenger. Component reader (30) is the component getting the information that the baggage is approaching the conveyor for being delivered by reading the readable component of baggage (20) on the baggage of passenger, and this way sending this information for informing the passenger. This information is shared on the screen (50) for passengers. Match control and warning system (40) is the system reading and matching the readable component of passenger (10) and a readable component of baggage (20) by means of the reader and matching system (41) on it, and this way ensures that the passengers take the right baggage safely, and checking during passages whether the readable component of passenger (10) placed on documents such as tickets, etc. matches with the baggage of that ticket, etc. document in real-time. This system also gives audible and visual warnings in case of failure of matching and in case there is no readable component of baggage (20) on baggage. Detection of whether there is a readable component of baggage (20) on baggage is performed by means of a readable component of baggage detector (42) in the match control and warning system (40). In addition, with the UV lamps (43) used on match control and warning system (40), baggage is sterilized, and this way the infection risk is mitigated. In Figure-1, the method of the invention is briefly shown. In the application method of the invention, the readable component of the passenger (10) is given to the passenger with the passenger arriving at the baggage reclaim area with her/his baggage. Then the readable component of baggage (20) is associated with baggage and the passenger takes her/his baggage. The passenger arrives at the baggage reclaim point after the flight for taking her/his baggage. The passenger is informed by means of the screen for coming to that point. This information is provided by means of the component reader (30) reading the readable component of baggage (20) on the baggage of the passenger and informing the passenger by monitoring this baggage information on the screen (50). Then the passenger arrives at the match control and warning system (40) together with her/his baggage and passes her/his baggage through the match control and warning system (40). While the baggage passes through the match control and warning system (40), the readable component of baggage (20) is read, this information is matched with the readable component of the passenger (10), it is confirmed that the baggage belongs to the passenger, and also the infection risk is eliminated by means of sterilization of baggage with UV lamp (43). In addition, in the present invention, the detection of whether there is a readable component of baggage (20) while the passenger passes her/his baggage through match control and warning system (40) is performed by a readable component of baggage detector (42). This way, the baggage without the readable component of baggage (20) is detected. In the present invention, a visual and audible warning is given by a match control and warning system (40), and the security department is warned in case the readable component of baggage (20) does not match with a readable component of the passenger (10).

A readable component of baggage (20) and a readable component of passenger (10) used in the present invention can be components including RFID technology or can be barcode components. The fact that the readable component of baggage (20) and a readable component of passenger (10) can be electronically read is sufficient for the realization of the invention.
