Abstract:
The present application relates to a segmented card feeding mechanism and method. The segmented card feeding mechanism comprises: a rear segment mechanism, which comprises a rear segment rack and a rear segment belt, the rear segment belt moving along the length direction of the rear segment rack and being movably connected to the rear segment rack so as to transfer cards; and a front segment mechanism, which comprises a front segment rack , the front segment rack being connected to an end part of the rear segment rack. The rear segment belt drives the cards to be transferred to the front segment rack so as to send out the cards. The segmented card feeding mechanism and method employ segmented card feeding. Card production and feeding are divided in time into two stages. During operation, after a card is placed on the rear segment belt of the rear segment mechanism and is transferred by the rear segment belt to one end of the front segment rack, the card is transferred to the other end of the front segment rack so as to send out the card. The front segment mechanism and the rear segment mechanism are connected to ensure the safety of a card placement operation.
