Abstract:
Provided are a seismic isolation base unit and a seismic isolation plate in which a sliding surface that absorbs the shock of an earthquake is changed from resin sheet adhesion to resin coating application to achieve improved workability and a low coefficient of friction. A seismic isolation base unit 1 is constituted by: two seismic isolation members 50, 60 each having a pair of flat, hard support plates 51, 53 (61, 63) sandwiching a cushion sheet 52 (62); and an elastic restraint belt 70 that bundles both of the seismic isolation members in an overlaid state. Sliding layers 54, 64 made of a low-friction material are respectively formed on surfaces of mutually-opposing support plates 53, 63 of the seismic isolation members 50, 60. One or both of the sliding layers 54, 64 are resin coat layers that contain polytetrafluoroethylene and are applied on the respective support plates 53, 63 and thermally cured, or epoxy/polyester-based satin coat layers that contain a bead material and are applied by powder coating and thermally cured.
