Title:
SELF-ASSEMBLED NANOSTRUCTURE OF BLOCK POLYPEPTIDE BASED ON ELASTIN AND RESILIN, HAVING STIMULUS RESPONSIVENESS AND ELASTICITY FOR DRUG DELIVERY, TISSUE ENGINEERING AND REGENERATIVE MEDICINE, AND PREPARATION METHOD AND APPLICATION THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2017/164661
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a self-assembled nanostructure of block polypeptides based on elastin and resilin, having stimulus responsiveness and elasticity for drug delivery, tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, a preparation method thereof, and application thereof. It is observed that the diblock polypeptides form a self-assembled micelle structure capable of reversibly changing with temperature stimuli while hydrogel prepared using the triblock polypeptides performs reversible sol-gel or gel-sol transition with temperature stimuli and is improved in mechanical strength by chemical crosslinking among tyrosine residues. Having such excellent properties, the present invention may be used as a drug delivery carrier, a scaffold for tissue engineering, and a kit for tissue or organ regeneration.
