Abstract:
Provided is a system for estimating the position of an uncrewed aircraft when the uncrewed aircraft flies within the internal space of a structure, such as a tunnel, having an internal surface on which feature points are difficult to identify. The self-position estimation system includes: a vertical-section measurement data acquisition unit 138 that acquires vertical-section measurement data measured using a vertical-section measurement device when the uncrewed aircraft flies in the internal space of a structure extending along a prescribed route in the lateral direction; and a vertical-section interior position estimation unit 133 that matches a first prescribed shape corresponding to an inner wall surface of the structure to the vertical-section measurement data acquired by the vertical-section measurement data acquisition unit 138, and estimates the vertical-section interior position of the uncrewed aircraft within the vertical section on the basis of the self position in relation to the matched prescribed shape.
