Abstract:
A recharging trailer (100) for applying electrical energy to an electric vehicle (10) has an electrical power coupling (118). The recharging trailer (100) includes a trailer frame (110) configured to be coupled to the electronic vehicle (10). An electrical generation unit (212) is disposed on the trailer (100) and is configured generate electrical power. The electrical generation unit (212) is also configured to be electrically coupled to the electrical power coupling (118) of the electric vehicle. A trailer propulsion unit (216) is configured to propel the trailer (100) while the electrical vehicle (10) is moving so that the trailer (100) moves without applying a substantial load to the electric vehicle (10).
