Abstract:
Provided is a self-propelled electronic device (1) which autonomically travels toward a location of a target object (100), said self-propelled electronic device (1) comprising: a travel control unit (21) which controls the rotation of a wheel (22) and causes straight line travel and rotation actions; a signal communication unit (14) which receives a wireless signal which is transmitted from the target object (100); a distance measuring unit (16) which measures the distance to the target object (100) on the basis of the received wireless signal; and a control unit (11). If it is assessed, on the basis of a plurality of measured distances which are measured by the distance measuring unit (16) during autonomic travel, that the self-propelled electronic device (1) is moving in a direction which carries it away from the target object (100), the control unit (11) causes a prescribed rotation action at the current location, then repeatedly carries out the straight line travel and the rotation actions in directions which carry the self-propelled electronic device (1) closer to the target object (100), thereby moving the self-propelled electronic device (1) to a prescribed vicinity of the target object (100).
