Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/117556
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention protects a floor-surface detection sensor from adhesion thereto of dust and dirt. A self-propelled vacuum cleaner equipped with: a self-propelled housing having an intake port and first and second exhaust ports; a ventilation unit for sucking dust on the floor surface into the housing through the intake port along with air, and discharging the air to the exterior through the first and second exhaust ports after removing the dust from the air; an optical floor-surface detection sensor provided on the housing surface facing the floor surface; and a control unit for controlling the ventilation operation of the ventilation unit, receiving an output from the floor-surface detection sensor, and controlling the self-propelling operation of the housing. The self-propelled vacuum cleaner is characterized in that the second exhaust port is provided in a manner such that some of the air from which the dust has been removed is blown in at least the floor-surface direction from near the floor-surface detection sensor.
