Abstract:
A self-resetting, single-valve, primary and auxiliary piston hydraulic drive device for use in a pushrod engine. A primary drive piston (130) and an auxiliary drive piston (420) are respectively arranged on a rocker arm body (110) and a valve bridge body (410), the auxiliary drive piston (420) being connected to an exhaust valve (310, 320), and a drive oil passage (120) communicates the primary drive piston (130), the auxiliary drive piston (420), and a drive control valve (150). When the drive control valve (150) opens the drive oil passage (120): the primary drive piston (130) and the auxiliary drive piston (420) become hydraulically linked, and during lift driving, the rocker arm body (110) and the valve bridge body (410) do not move, and the auxiliary drive piston (420) opens the exhaust valve (310, 320). When primary lift begins, a primary piston body oil passage (121) and an auxiliary piston oil passage (122) are disconnected, and the auxiliary drive piston (420) automatically resets. When the drive oil passage (120) is disconnected: in a process of driving lift by an integrated cam (210), the primary drive piston (130) absorbs the driving lift of the integrated cam (210) and a push rod assembly (200) on the rocker arm body (110), and thus the rocker arm body (110) does not move, and driving lift of the integrated cam (210) is not transmitted to the side of the exhaust valve (310, 320). The drive device features simple principles, a compact structure, and ease of optimization, and improves reliability and durability in engine driving operation. Further provided is a method for operating the self-resetting, single-valve, primary and auxiliary piston hydraulic drive device for use in a pushrod engine.
