Abstract:
Provided is a semiconductor device with good display quality. This semiconductor device comprises a display unit, a line-of-sight detecting unit, a control unit, and a computing unit, wherein: the line-of-sight detecting unit has a function for acquiring first information which indicates the direction of the line of sight of a user; and the computing unit has a function for using the first information to determine a first area on the display unit in which a gazing point of the user is included, and a function for increasing the resolution of the image displayed in the first area. Light emitted from the display unit may be used in the acquisition of the first information which indicates the direction of the line of sight.
