Abstract:
A semiconductor drive device (100), provided with: a drive circuit (5) for driving a semiconductor switching element (11); a passive element (21) connected to the gate of the semiconductor switching element (11) and configured to suppress the gate current of the semiconductor switching element (11); a switching element (22) serially connected to the passive element (21); a control circuit (3) for controlling the switching element (22); and a temperature detection circuit (4) for detecting the temperature of the semiconductor switching element (11). The control circuit (3) controls the switching element (22) so that the suppression of the gate current is greater when the temperature detected by the temperature detection circuit (4) is higher than when the temperature detected is lower.
