Abstract:
This semiconductor element is provided with, for example, a base (11) that has a base surface (11a), a mesa (12) that protrudes from the base surface in a first direction crossing the base surface, has a top surface (12a) and two side surfaces (12b) on both sides of the top surface, and extends along the base surface, and an electric resistance body (15) that has a top wall (15a) provided on the top surface, and a side wall (15b) provided on at least one side surface out of the two side surfaces and is configured such that an electric current flows in a direction in which the mesa extends.
