Abstract:
A semiconductor light emitting element according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises a laminate. The laminate comprises a first semiconductor layer of a first conductivity type, a light emitting layer arranged on the first semiconductor layer, and a second semiconductor layer of a second conductivity type arranged on the light emitting layer. The upper surface of the laminate has a first projection part that protrudes in a first direction that extends from the first semiconductor layer toward the light emitting layer. The length of the first projection part in a second direction that is perpendicular to the first direction decreases in the first direction. The first projection part has a first portion and a second portion. The first portion has a first lateral surface that is inclined to the first direction. The second portion is positioned below the first portion, and has a second lateral surface that is inclined to the first direction. The second lateral surface is curved so as to protrude downward.
