Abstract:
This liquid level gauge comprises an input circuit 30, a sensor unit 40, an adjusting unit 50, a switching means 60, a discriminating means 70, and a liquid level determining means 80, wherein: the sensor unit 40 includes a plurality of electrode pairs 41 arranged in a liquid level detection direction; the electrode pairs 41 are divided into n groups; an i-th group (i=1, 2, …, n) is configured from the electrode pairs 41 in positions 2i-1(2k-1) (where k is a natural number from 1 to 2n-i) from the bottom; one end of each electrode pair 41 is connected to the input circuit 30, and the other ends of the electrode pairs belonging to the same group are connected to in parallel with one another and are connected to the switching means 60; the discriminating means 70 discriminates between magnitudes of a detected value of the i-th group and the detected value of a group obtained by combining the (i+1)th group to the n-th group, for i=1, 2, …, n-1, and discriminates between the detected value of the n-th group and a detected value obtained by the adjusting unit 50; the switching means 60 successively switches connections between the groups and the discriminating means 70; and the liquid level determining means 80 determines a liquid level on the basis of the discriminations performed by the discriminating means 70.
