Abstract:
This separation membrane composite body (1) is provided with: a porous supporting body (11); an intermediate membrane (12) which is a polycrystalline membrane that is provided on a surface of the supporting body (11), while having pores that are derived from the skeleton structure and have a smaller average pore diameter than the pores in the vicinity of the surface of the supporting body (11); and a separation membrane (13) which is an inorganic membrane that is provided on the intermediate membrane (12), while having a regular pore structure. With respect to the separation membrane (13), a functional group is introduced into pores in a surface layer (14) that is away from the intermediate membrane (12). With respect to this separation membrane composite body (1), the separation membrane (13) is appropriately formed on the porous supporting body (11); and the permeation rate of a specific substance is able to be increased in the separation membrane (13) into which the functional group has been introduced.
