Title:
SEPARATOR FOR ALUMINUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITORS, AND ALUMINUM ELECTROLYTIC CAPACITOR
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2019/188659
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A separator for aluminum electrolytic capacitors, which is interposed between a pair of electrodes, and which has a porosity of 65-85%, an average pore diameter of 0.5-25.0 μm and a Clark stiffness of 1-10 cm3/100. In addition, this separator is composed of a nonwoven fabric which has these features, while containing polyamide fibers. By using this separator in a solid electrolytic capacitor or in a hybrid electrolytic capacitor, the initial ESR and short circuit failure ratio are able to be reduced, while enabling improvement of reliability that is good enough for use in a harsh environment over a long period of time. In addition, this separator is able to be used in an aluminum electrolytic capacitor which uses a conductive polymer as a negative electrode material.
