Abstract:
The present application relates to a separator and a device comprising same. Specifically, the separator provided in the present application comprises a porous substrate and a porous coating; the porous coating is provided on at least one surface of the porous substrate; the porous coating comprises an inorganic particle and a binder; the binder comprises a first binder; and the first binder comprises a metal element. The separator provided in the present application has excellent thermal safety stability and mechanical stability, mainly shown in the following: thermally puncturing the separator by means of a circular needle having a diameter of R and heated to 500°C to obtain a rupture hole generated on the separator, drawing a line connecting any two points on the edge of the rupture hole, calculating the distance between the two points, and obtaining the maximum value as r, wherein 400 μm≤R≤1000 μm, and 0.9≤r/R≤5.
