Abstract:
A server device suppresses the allocation of a memory space area to an upstream P2P bridge accessed from a host in which an MR-PCIM is not at work in a system on which an IO device is mounted through an MRA switch. The server device follows bit setting to correspond to a switch vs. authorization bit map 270 in the MRA switch having a plurality of PCIM capable switch ports and determines an attribute of a base address register in the upstream P2P bridge. If the corresponding switch vs. authorization bit is 0, the server device makes a base address register a read only attribute, so as to suppress the allocation of the memory space area from the host in which the MR-PCIM is not at work.
