Disclosed are a server and a method for providing a multilingual subtitle service using an artificial intelligence learning model, and a method for controlling the server. The server for providing a subtitle service according to the present invention comprises: a communication unit that performs data communication with at least one of a first user terminal device of a client requesting translation of a content image and a second user terminal device of a worker performing translation work; a storage unit that stores a worker search list and an artificial intelligence learning model that performs evaluation of a worker's task capability on the basis of learned worker information; and a control unit that enables image information about the content image to input into the artificial intelligence learning model in accordance with a worker recommendation command of the client so as to obtain a worker list for workers capable of translating, and to control the communication unit to transmit the obtained worker list to the first user terminal device, wherein the worker information comprises at least one of profile information for each worker, completed subtitles content for each worker, and evaluated task grade information for each worker.
