Abstract:
A server, a mobile terminal and a method used for information backup and recovery are provided by the present invention, which are related to the technical field of communications. The method includes that: during information backup or information recovery between the mobile terminal and the server, a transmitting terminal structures the information to be transmitted as a Synchronization Markup Language (SyncML) data packet which is sent to a receiving terminal; the receiving terminal receives the SyncML data packet, and the SyncML data packet is parsed to obtain information content, and the information content is stored. The technical solutions of the present invention ensure that the user can totally recover the important information which has been backed-up in the mobile terminal into a new mobile terminal product via the server when the mobile terminal product is not recovered from catastrophic failure or when the mobile terminal product is lost.
