The present invention relates to a method for providing exercise instruction in a fitness center, and the purpose of the present invention is to recognize the movements of users and thereby determine whether the users are accurately performing exercise movements. The present invention for achieving said purpose is characterized by comprising: Step A for setting a first area, which can be sensed by each of one or more lidar sensors, as an active state when users are recognized in the first area; Step B for displaying a guide in the first area on the basis of an exercise set when the exercise set and an exercise start signal are received from an instructor terminal; Step C for recognizing the movements of the users performing an exercise through the guide, and calculating the accuracy of the movements; and Step D for calculating calories on the basis of the accuracy corresponding to at least one of the users, generating a list on the basis of the accuracy and the calories, and displaying ranking information on a central screen.
