Abstract:
A servo pattern recording device according to an embodiment of the present technique is a device for recording multiple servo patterns which are adjacent to magnetic layers of a magnetic tape in a tape width direction, and is equipped with a servo write head and a temperature adjustment unit. The servo write head has multiple recording parts which are arranged to respectively correspond to multiple servo bands of the magnetic layers where the multiple servo patterns are to be recorded. The temperature adjustment unit is configured to be able to individually adjust the temperatures of the multiple recording parts.
