Abstract:
The invention relates to a system for paying for various services in a minimum time for carrying out payment transactions and with a minimum use of cash. The inventive settlement and payment system comprises at least one commercial recording device which is provided with a unit for automatic control of consumption according to qualitative and time indexes, a payment receiving office and a payment processing centre. Said payment receiving office keeps data on the current price of a service, comprises a unit for differentiation of payments based on to the category of a subscriber, a unit for feedback with the payment processing centre and can contain at least one payment splitting module. The payment processing centre comprises at least one database on consumers, a database on executed payments, a database on readings of the commercial recording devices, a module for clearing transactions and a database on subscriber categories .A data carrier for data exchange between the commercial recording device and the payment receiving office is embodied in the form of an electronic card which makes it possible to carry out the exchange and copying of said data, taking into account the executed payments, and to store data on a permanent subscriber in order to identify him or her in the differentiation unit and as a user of the specific commercial recording device.
