Abstract:
Provided is a sewing machine in which a projection image can be appropriately projected by a projection unit, and a subject to be image-captured can be appropriately captured by an image capturing unit while maintaining ease of operation for a user. This sewing machine 1 is provided with: a bed part; an arm part 13 having a head portion 14; a needle bar 15 provided in the head portion 14; a transportation mechanism capable of transporting an object to be sewn; a projector 2A that is provided in the head portion 14, has a first lens 23 from which image light of a projection image is emitted, and projects the projection image toward the bed part; and a camera 3 that is provided in the head portion 14, has a second lens 31 on which the reflected light reflected from a subject to be image-captured is incident, and captures an image of the subject. The first lens 23 of the projector 2A and the second lens 31 of the camera 3 are provided to the left of the needle bar 15. Also, a first lens 21 of the projector 2A and the second lens 31 of the camera 3 are provided forward of the needle bar 15.
