Abstract:
A sewing machine according to the present invention comprises: a head frame; a needle bar supported by the head frame so as to be raiseable/lowerable; a needle coupled to the lower end of the needle bar to rise/lower between a lowered stitching position and a raised needle-raising position; a presser foot unit having a pressing part having a needle guide hole through which the needle passes and pressing a sewing material, a presser foot arm for supporting the pressing part, and a raising/lowering slider coupled to the presser foot arm so as to be raised and lowered; and a raising/lowering guide mounted on the head frame to guide the raising/lowering of the raising/lowering slider. Therefore, displacement force generated during the raising/lowering of the presser foot unit does not affect the needle bar, so as to reduce the rate of occurrence of thread breakage of the sewing machine and to ensure durable stability.
