Abstract:
The present invention provides a technique for quickly identifying the sex of a fertilized egg with high identification accuracy on the basis of image data obtained by imaging the contour of the egg. Specifically, the present invention provides a sex identification method for fertilized eggs which identifies the sex of a fertilized egg from the contour thereof using a computer and comprises: extracting the contour on the basis of image data obtained by imaging the fertilized egg while changing the angle thereof; calculating the minor axis from the contour; calculating the phase difference of the minor axis which corresponds to imaging at each angle; and identifying the sex using the phase difference of the minor axis. The present invention also provides a sex identification device for fertilized eggs and a program.
