Title:
SHAFT FURNACE OPERATION METHOD AND REDUCE IRON PRODUCTION METHOD
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2022/264666
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
Provided is a shaft furnace operation method by which reduced iron can be produced using a shaft furnace while suppressing CO2 emissions and without preheating raw materials. This shaft furnace operation method is for obtaining reduced iron by charging an agglomerated ore into a shaft furnace, introducing a reducing gas mainly comprising H2 into the shaft furnace, and reducing iron oxides contained in the agglomerated ore, said method involving blowing of an H2O-containing heated gas, which has been obtained by burning and heating H2 and O2 to a temperature of 800˚C or higher, into the shaft furnace from a position higher than the reducing gas introducing position in a height direction of the shaft furnace.
