Abstract:
A shaft part provided with a rolling groove, the shaft part having scale which has high close contact force and is extremely thinned to an extent which does not cause a noise problem even if the scale peels off during operation, the shaft part being configured in such a manner that the shaft part is not tend to bend, allows the inner surface of the rolling groove having been subjected to induction hardening to be used as it is as the rolling surface, and can be manufactured with high productivity to enable cost reduction. A shaft part provided with a rolling groove in which rolling bodies roll, at least the inner surface of the rolling groove being hardened by induction hardening. The surface roughness (Ra) of the surface of the rolling groove, said surface being hardened by induction hardening and left as it is, is set to be less than 1.0, the effective hardened depth ratio of the hardened layer is set to be not less than 0.15 but not greater than 0.45, and the inner surface of the rolling groove which has been hardened by induction hardening is used as it is as the rolling surface.
