Abstract:
Provided is a sheet conveying device capable of suppressing entry of dust and the like into the device. This sheet conveying device comprises: a printer housing 14 in which a conveyance path 23 for paper 15 is formed; a cover 40 which has a guide portion 31 that partitions the conveyance path 23 and is movable between an exposed position where the interior of the printer casing 14 is exposed outside the printer casing 14 and a closed position where the interior of the printer housing 14 is closed to the exterior of the printer housing 14; a conveyance roller 59 which partitions the conveyance path 23 and is rotated to convey the paper 15 located in the conveyance path 23; a conveyance motor 89 which is disposed within the printer housing 14; a drive transmission unit 90 which is disposed within the printer housing 14 and transmits the driving force of the conveyance motor 89 to the conveyance roller 59; and a dust-proof portion 70 which is attached at a position to fill a gap between the cover 40 in the closed position and the printer housing 14.
