Abstract:

A sheet-cutting apparatus has, in addition to the features of having two cutting blades and being able to cut a sheet in a rectangular form with different side lengths, a downsized cutting blade-lifting/lowering portion, enhanced cutting accuracy, and increased cutting speed. A transmission-switching device is provided such that one of a pair of cutting blade-lifting/lowering bodies (2, 2) that are arranged so as to be superposed on each other in a forward-backward direction is connected to a lift/lower drive body (10) that moves up and down by the rotation of a feeder screw shaft (11). The transmission-switching device is constructed from an engagement piece (13) provided at an upper portion of a cutting blade-lifting/lowering body (2), a connection pin (15) for connecting the lift/lower drive body (10) and the engagement piece (13) together, a push-out pin (17a) and a push-in pin (17b) that are for operating and moving the connection pin (15), and a holding member (19) for holding one of the cutting blade-lifting/lowering bodies (2, 2) that is not moved up and down. To switch to a cutting blade-lifting/lowering body (2) that is to be moved up and down, the push-out pin (17a) and push-in pin (17b) are operated for forward and backward movements by piston rods of cylinders (18) arranged at a left and a right frame of the cutting blade-lifting/lowering bodies (2).
