Abstract:
As shown on Fig. 25B, a sheet handling device comprises a clamp moving mechanism
(80) for clamping a bundle of sheets (3”) by applying binding component
guide members (99a, 99b) to positions covering a part of a punch hole (98) from
the front surface and rear surface of the bundle of sheets (3”). A binding
component (43) is bound to the bundle of sheets (3”) while touching the
opposite distal ends of the binding component (43) to the binding component guide
members (99a, 99b) which are clamping the bundle of sheets (3”) by means
of the clamp moving mechanism (80). With such an arrangement, opposite distal
ends of the binding component can be inserted into the punched hole while a substantially
constant interval is sustained between the opposite distal ends of the binding
component and the punched hole, and a substantially constant interval can be
sustained between the binding component and the punched hole in the case of a binding
component of different diameter.
