Abstract:
In a shift lever device (10), a shift lever (26) is inserted in a retainer (20) from above, and a select shaft (30) of the shift lever is inserted in a select frame (24) of the retainer to have the retainer supported by the shift lever. In the select shaft, since the extent of protrusion of a cylindrical shaft (30A) and an intermediate shaft (30C) is smaller than the extent of protrusion of a plate shaft (30B), when the select shaft is inserted in the select frame, the cylindrical shaft and the intermediate shaft can pass through a support column (24B) of the select frame, and the tilt angle of the shift lever in the left-right direction with respect to the retainer can be reduced. Thus, the size of the retainer in the left-right direction can be reduced, and the shift lever device can be scaled down in the left-right direction.
