Abstract:
A port-side propeller 2a and a starboard-side propeller 2b are both configured from a variable pitch propeller, and control for turning right while stopped is implemented in which the port-side propeller 2a generates forward propulsion Ta while the starboard-side propeller 2b generates backward propulsion Tb weaker than that of the forward propulsion Ta of the port-side propeller 2a, and a port-side rudder 3a is moved to starboard and a starboard-side rudder 3b is moved to port so that the stern is turned to port without movement in the longitudinal direction. In a ship provided with two propellers, a port-side propeller and a starboard-side propeller, and two rudders, a port-side rudder and a starboard-side rudder, in the stern, this configuration allows a high degree of maneuverability to be demonstrated through input of relatively easy maneuvering operations.
