Abstract:
Excessive pressure in a back pressure chamber 55, 26 is prevented by minimizing the flow path surface area of first orifices 169, 189 through passages that connect upstream chambers 2A, 2B and downstream chambers 2B, 2A. By this means, it is possible to suppress overshoot of the damping force caused by opening of main valves 53, 23 being delayed by residual pressure in the back pressure chambers 55, 26 when movement of a piston 3 has switched from one direction to the other direction.
