Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a short fiber-reinforced prepreg sheet wherein: the weight per square meter in an end part of the short fiber-reinforced prepreg sheet is controlled; the variation of the weight per square meter in the sheet width direction is small; and the loss width with respect to the product width is small. In order to achieve the above-described purpose, a short fiber-reinforced prepreg sheet according to the present invention comprises a matrix resin and chopped fiber bundles, and the variation coefficient CVa of the weight per square meter of the full width of this short fiber-reinforced prepreg sheet in the width direction is 15% or less. With respect to this short fiber-reinforced prepreg sheet, a rectangular region that has a specific length Lb (mm) in the width direction, while having a length of 200 mm in the longitudinal direction is arranged on the inner side of this short fiber-reinforced prepreg sheet in such a manner that the long sides of the rectangular region are superposed on boundary lines that are set at ((average bundle length of chopped fiber bundles)/2) mm inside from the edges of this short fiber-reinforced prepreg sheet in the width direction; and the weight per square meter of the rectangular region is from 80% to 105% of the average weight per square meter of the full width of this short fiber-reinforced prepreg sheet in the width direction.
