Abstract:
Provided is a technology capable of further improving operability during suspension work in a shovel. A shovel 100 according to an embodiment of the present disclosure is provided with: a lower traveling body 1; an upper rotary body 3 rotatably mounted on the lower traveling body 1; an attachment including a boom 4 attached to the upper rotary body 3 and an arm 5 attached to the tip of the boom 4; a boom cylinder 7 for driving the boom 4; an arm cylinder 8 for driving the arm 5; a main pump 14 for supplying a working oil to the boom cylinder 7 and the arm cylinder 8; and a controller 30 for controlling the man pump 14, wherein when a suspension work using the main pump is performed, the controller 30 causes the standby flow rate of the main pump 14 to become greater than that in case of performing a work other than the suspension work.
