Abstract:
Provided is a shuttlecock that is capable of, while reducing the influence of wind on the play, traveling in the air, and softening the impact when hitting a player or a racket. A shuttlecock (1) is configured to be provided with a base part (2) and a skirt part (4) that are arranged side by side in the front-back direction. The base part has formed therein a plurality of holes (30) that are opened at least on the outer circumferential surface side. The holes are each formed so as to have a cylindrical interior surface that extends in a prescribed direction and are formed to have a length in the extension direction greater than the maximum opening width of the holes as viewed in the extension direction.
