Abstract:
The purpose of the present disclosure is to enable entry of excitation light into a rare-earth-doped fiber by means of a small-sized configuration having no connection points. The present disclosure is a side-pumping optical fiber characterized by comprising one or more cores, wherein an optical waveguide is disposed extending from a fiber side surface toward the inside of the fiber, and the excitation light can enter from the fiber side surface through the optical waveguide.
