Abstract:
A sign evaluation device (20) is provided with an image acquisition unit (230) and an image processing unit (240). The image acquisition unit (230) acquires an image that includes a sign to be evaluated. The image processing unit (240) processes the image so as to generate sign state information about the sign included in said image. The sign state information includes at least one of: the percentage of the sign that is missing in the image including the sign; brightness information; and the number of objects included in the image. The brightness information includes at least one of: the luminance of the sign; and the brightness difference between the sign and the area around the sign. The image processing unit (240) uses said sign state information to generate and output ease-of-recognition information.
