Abstract:
A signal processing circuit having an external light component reduction circuit capable of reducing external light components by use of a frequency separation system. In a signal detection circuit, in order to automatically control a wiper used for removing raindrops on a window shield of a vehicle, a pulse light from an LED is irradiated to the vehicle window shield, the reflected light is received by a PD, and a pulse signal from the PD is processed and applied to an arithmetic processing device. There are provided a current-to-voltage conversion circuit for converting the pulse signal from the LED to a voltage signal; an external light component reduction circuit disposed in parallel to the current-to-voltage conversion circuit for reducing the external light components included in an output signal from the current-to-voltage conversion circuit; and a band pass filter circuit/amplifier circuit for reducing the noise of the output signal from the current-to-voltage conversion circuit and for amplifying the output signal.
