Abstract:
Embodiments of the present application provides a signal generation method and apparatus, and a chip. In the process of executing the signal generation method, the target brightness for achieving the display effect can be obtained first, and then a second display duration is determined according to a first display duration and the target brightness, so as to determine the time that a target display unit needs to be in the ON state in a refresh period in order to achieve the display effect. Then, the second display duration can be allocated to the refresh period according to a control mode to obtain a target control signal. In this way, the display brightness of the target display unit can be flexibly adjusted by changing the time that the target display unit is in the ON state in a single refresh period. Thus, the control signal corresponding to each display unit in the display module is generated by using the signal generation method provided by the embodiments of the present application, such that the brightness of the display unit can be flexibly adjusted in the refresh period, thereby achieving a complex display effect such as a respiratory display effect.
