Abstract:
The present technology relates to a signal processing device, a signal processing method, and a program for enabling noise immunity to be improved in high line density recording. Partial response (PR) equalization of a reproduction signal multilevel-coded with an ML value of 3 or more is performed, and maximum-likelihood decoding of an equalized signal which is obtained by the PR equalization is performed. The present technology is applicable to, for example, a recording and playback device of an optical disk or the like.
