Title:
SIGNAL PROCESSING DEVICE AND PHOTODETECTION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2010/090135
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
In a signal processing device, an integrating circuit accumulates the electric charge from a photodiode in an integral capacity element and outputs a voltage value in accordance with the amount of the electric charge.  A comparison circuit outputs a saturation signal when the voltage value from the integrating circuit reaches the reference value.  An electric charge-injection circuit injects an electric charge having reverse polarity into the integral capacity element according to the saturation signal.  A counting circuit performs counting according to the saturation signal.  Holding circuits hold the voltage value from the integrating circuit.  An amplifier circuit outputs a voltage value K times (wherein K>1) larger than the voltage value held by the holding circuits.  An AD conversion circuit takes a voltage value K times larger than the reference value as the maximum input voltage value, that is, as a full-scale value, and outputs the digital value corresponding to the voltage value from the amplifier circuit.
