Abstract:
When the number of signal sources N and the number of sensors M is in the relationship of N > M, a mixed signal can be separated with a high quality. Firstly, a value of an observed signal which has been observed in the sensor is converted in a signal value of a frequency region. By using the signal value in the frequency region, a relative value of the observed value between the sensors is calculated for each frequency. Next, each relative value is clustered into N classes and a representative value of each class is calculated. By using the representative values, a mask is created for extracting a value of a signal transmitted from the V (1 = V = M) signal sources. By using this mask, a value of the signal transmitted from the V signal sources is extracted from the signal value of the aforementioned frequency region. After this, if V = 1, the limit signal is directly outputted as a separation signal and if V = 2, ICA or the like is applied to the limit signal so as to obtain a separation signal.
