Abstract:

The present invention relates to a silica sol, a silica aerogel blanket using same, and a method for manufacturing same, wherein in the manufacturing of the silica aerogel blanket, a hydrophobizing agent, a basic catalyst, an organic solvent, and water are contained in a catalyst composition, which can lead to the omission of: a wet aging step that causes the execution in high-temperature conditions and the increase in amount of solvent used; and a surface modification step that hampers economical efficiency and productivity due to the use of a large amount of organic solvent and a high-priced surface modifier, the complication of processes, and the requirement of long process times.
