Abstract:
A silicon-based optical micro-ring filter reverse design method based on sparsity calculation, comprising: S1, determining an initial radius of each micro-ring in a cascaded micro-ring filter and each coupling coefficient of the cascaded micro-ring filter; S2, according to the initial radius and the coupling coefficient, obtaining a transmission spectrum of the cascaded micro-ring filter using a transmission matrix method; S3, calculating the sparsity of the cascaded micro-ring at different frequency points, and performing summation; and S4, on the basis of the sparsity obtained by summation, iterating the micro-ring radius according to an optimization target having maximum sparsity, recalculating the coupling coefficient using the iterated micro-ring radius, and returning to step S2, until a maximum number of iterations is reached, obtaining a final micro-ring radius and coupling coefficient. A micro-ring structure is designed according to the design target. Flexibility in designing a silicon-based cascaded micro-ring filter is increased, and design efficiency of the filter is increased.
