Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a silicone-release-type polyester film having exceptional lightweight separation properties and layer uniformity, a method for manufacturing the silicone-release-type polyester film, and the like. A silicone-release-type polyester film having an application layer on at least one surface of a polyester film, the application layer being formed using a release-type coating composition of an aqueous dispersion of alkenyl-group-containing silicone, an aqueous dispersion of silicone having hydrogen atoms directly bonded to Si atoms represented by Si-H groups, and an aqueous dispersion including a platinum-based catalyst, wherein the amount of platinum element in the platinum-based catalyst is greater than 120 ppm and less than 600 ppm relative to the weight of the alkenyl-group-containing silicone, the platinum-based catalyst includes platinum-based catalysts that contain a crosslinking-reaction-suppressing agent and platinum-based catalysts that do not contain a crosslinking-reaction-suppressing agent, and the thickness of the application layer is 5-70 nm inclusive.
